Newly Constructed home in old neighborhood, selling for convenience

This seller was assisting her father who had lived in the neighborhood for over 50 years. A few years ago his house had burned down, he used the insurance money to re-build in the exact same place. Therefore he had a beautiful new brick home in an older neighborhood with smaller houses – it was a little out of place. They were concerned about how long it would take to sell being what it was. They also wanted to have certainty that they could move into the assisted living facility in the spring. We agreed on a price and set our closing out 90 days in the future. It was such a relief to them to know that it was settled and they could move on without the uncertainty of selling a diamond in the rough, you might say.
